Bites & Sites Walking Food Tour
Bites & Sites tours will take place in the downtown Canmore area where your guide will provide you with interesting facts about Canmore including its fascinating history! Along the way we will make 5 short stops at local eateries to have a 'bite' of their delicious fare, featuring local or regional ingredients when possible
Each tour is 2-2.5 hours long (varies a bit with weather, # of guests etc.).
Tour departure times are 10:30 am and 3 pm MST
Please plan to meet at tour departure area 5-10 minutes before you tour time to ensure we can check everyone in and start the tour on time
We will walk about 1- 1.5 km (or about 1 mile) and some of our food tasting stops do have stairs to climb. Please note that we will not be able to sit down at all of our food tasting stops.
Maximum 10 guests per tour
What to bring with you?
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing for outside weather in the mountains (the weather can change !)
The tour proceeds in all typical mountain weather conditions (should there be extreme weather Three Sisters Tours will contact you to cancel the tour and you will receive a full refund).
Cancellation policy: Full refund if you can cancel 24 hours before departure time of your tour (MST). Please see the FAQ page for more info about our cancellation policy, dietary restrictions and children attending the tour
Suggest you bring your own water bottle as some stops will not provide water and consider bringing a reusable shopping bag if you want to purchase some items (particularly at the Mountain Made Market)
Where do the Tours depart from?
All Canmore walking food tours depart from the North West Mounted Police Barracks (609 8th St. Canmore) (please see map to help you find the location which is on Main street in Canmore)
You can find pay parking downtown on Main Street (or a side street) or depending on where you are staying you might like to travel on foot, by bike or take local (free!) transit (Roam Transit)
Where do the Canmore walking food tours end?
Bites & Sites will end where the tour originally departed from (see above: Barracks location)

You will receive immediate confirmation of your booking
Tour guides do not accept gratuities; save your money for buying yourself a keepsake from the mountains!!


BONUS (OPTIONAL) STOP ON THURSDAY MORNING TOURS:
For those who book a Thursday tour with a 10:30 am departure time (on or after May 22nd):
At the end of the tour, your guide will offer to take any interested tour guests a further 5 minute walk to the Canmore Mountain Market)(just outside the downtown core). This very popular seasonal Farmer's market in Canmore features delicious locally made food products and artisan crafts (pottery, woodworking etc.). There is no additional cost for this add on and you do not need to buy a special ticket. Simply book your 10:30 am Thursday tour, and when the tour is finished at the original departure location, your guide will invite interested tour guests to walk over to the Canmore Mountain Market where the your guide will leave you to shop and browse the market.
